Fall is Coming! (fo real this time)

So maybe I spoke too early the last time I said fall was here. Although I did say that we would probably still have some muggy days, the past few weeks have been a bit more than a few warm days. Here's a disgusting fact: on Monday we tied the record heat of 91º that was set during the Dust Bowl for the Cincinnati area on the 8th of October. The Dust Bowl! What is the world coming to? I suppose many would say global warming. Whatever is causing it, the tri-state region was certainly experiencing some warming.

Now, I think, it can officially be deemed fall. It's the first day of the season so far where people were cold enough that they realized how much I love the cold and find it exceedingly comfortable. Of course, with that comes the general consensus that something is loose in my head, and maybe something is, but I like it that way.

But watch. Now that I've said that, it will be like 90º again tomorrow.

I remember Monday well. I stepped outside and said, "Why does the air smell like death?" I concluded that the air must be dead and baking in the heat. Also, I found many formerly living things that day, of both the plant and animal variety, so perhaps they too contributed. There was even a deer! And a dog! Actually, I could have done without those. In fact, I would have done better without those. Furthermore, I had the privilege of passing Rumpke Mountain on Monday. I thought, "I am going to stop breathing for a few minutes!" Regrettably, that did not work out.
Speaking of garbage, I learned on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory that global warming is caused by the continual dumping of our filth and waste into the sun, thereby fueling it and making it hotter, I mean, fusion aside. This is not a matter of science, it is a matter of the intuition of a madman. Did you know that mankind once possessed feathers and wings, and that all the earth was a lush jungle, and we ate delicious fruits all day? Then everything was incinerated for some reason, burning down the jungles and burning off our feathers. And that is why even unto this day we consume meats.

I've been loving the past three days. Yesterday (Thursday) was the best day weather-wise in ages. It was cool and sunny and awesome. I too am glad October is finally acting like October and embracing its fall heritage.

Yeah, it's finally getting nice enough that my mom won't let me leave my window open at night. She doesn't like the chilly night air very much.

On Monday, the only dead things I saw were a bird and some weeds I had poisoned. I spent 6 hours of my afternoon digging 9" x 9" holes in the dirt with a small trowel (and a wrist with tendonitis) so I could plant over 400 potted plants, and realized after about three hours that I hadn't put on any sunscreen. My Irish skin was not very happy with me.

Tendonitis, you say? Surely this is the most serious art injury I have ever seen!

I got a little carried away...

I have seen someone throw an exacto knife at someone else in art class, which would've probably resulted in a worse injury if they hadn't missed.
